The studio
Inside Balham
Balham is two studios. Reformer runs on Balham High Road, two minutes from the station and the Tube. Cavendish Road, a short walk towards Clapham South, is where Tower Pilates and the infrared hot classes are — check which one your class is at before you set off.
If you have not tried reformer before, it is pilates on a spring-loaded machine: the carriage moves, the resistance adjusts to you, and almost nothing is asked of your joints. Low impact, not low effort. The room fills with everyone from complete first-timers to people who have been coming three times a week for years, and every class is taught to meet you where you are.

Fantastic reformer studio in Balham, great facilities and not too busy, meaning you do not have to book weeks in advance.

Always clean, with classes to suit everyone. Challenging exercises that can be adapted, and never the same twice.

My new favourite reformer pilates studio. Beautiful interiors, new equipment, and a good mix of classes at different levels.

How do I check which studio my class is at?
We have multiple studio locations, so it’s important to check which studio your class is booked at before you arrive.
You can find your studio location in your booking confirmation. You can also check the class details on our website, where you’ll find a map and directions to the correct studio.
Always check your booking before heading to class to make sure you’re going to the right location.
If you’re still unsure, please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help!
What facilities are there at Balham?
Toilets, showers, changing rooms and lockers, with toiletries available in the changing rooms.
How do I book a class?
Create an account, buy the credits you want at the studio you want, then choose your class and time on the schedule. Pick your spot and book — you will get an email confirming it.
Do you offer a trial class?
Yes. New members start with 3 classes for £49. Create an account, buy the intro offer on the pricing page, then book any classes that suit you.
When should I arrive?
Ten minutes before your class starts. That gives you time to check in, put your things away and meet your instructor.
Any earlier and a class may still be running with the doors locked. Classes start promptly — the safety briefing and warm-up begin straight away, which is why we cannot let anyone in late.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 12 hours before your class, through the app or the website, and there is no charge.
Inside 12 hours the class is charged for. See our terms for exactly how that is applied.
