Questions

Before you book

What is Tower Pilates?

A full-body class combining Tower and Mat Pilates with spring-based resistance. The tower is a vertical frame with springs and bars, worked from a mat rather than a moving carriage.

It builds strength, balance, mobility and coordination, and develops body awareness and control.

How is Tower different from the reformer?

The reformer has a carriage that slides; the tower does not. You work from a fixed mat against spring resistance from the frame above and beside you.

Expect mindful, controlled movement that leaves you feeling stronger, longer and more aligned. Many people do both.

Which Tower class should I start with?

Tower Signature — it suits all levels, including prenatal clients.

Tower Tempo is the music-led version, blending tower, mat, barre-inspired work and bodyweight movement at a higher heart rate. It suits all levels too, but new members and prenatal clients benefit from doing Tower Signature first.

Is Tower suitable in pregnancy?

Tower Signature is suitable for all levels including prenatal. Embrace Tower is our dedicated pre and post natal tower class, designed to keep you moving safely through pregnancy and beyond.

For Tower Tempo, attend Tower Signature first. Always tell your instructor you are pregnant before class starts.

Do I need grip socks for Tower?

Yes. Grip socks are required and are available at reception for £20 or with R|C reward points.

How do I book a class?
